Laboratory Service Advisor

An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive and enthusiastic Laboratory Service Advisor to join a leading medical organisation in central London. This is a full-time hybrid position (40 hours per week) on a rotating shift schedule.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in Biomedical Science, Biology, or another medical-related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6–12 months of call centre experience, ideally within a medical or healthcare environment
  • Proven experience within customer service
  • Excellent communication skills — both verbal and written
  • A professional, empathetic, and customer-focused approach

Experience within the medical industry is desirable but not essential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing frontline customer service to clients, doctors, and patients
  • Communicating lab test results and processes (confidentiality is vital)
  • Handling general enquiries and explaining diagnostic procedures
  • Arranging couriers and managing supplies requests

Working Hours & Shifts:

  • Monday to Friday: Between 07:00 – 23:00
    • Rotating shifts such as 8am–5pm, 9am–6pm, 10am–7pm, 11am–8pm, or 2pm–11pm

Weekend & Bank Holiday Coverage (Remote):

  • Saturdays: 07:00 – 23:00
  • Sundays: 09:00 – 18:00
  • Bank Holidays: 09:00 – 17:30

➡️ Weekend and Bank Holiday shifts are remote and paid as overtime
