Supplies Coordinator, £12,75ph, Hertfordshire

Are you organised, proactive and motivated by the knowledge that your work directly improves patient pathways? We’re looking for a Supplies Coordinator to support the smooth running of wards in the Hertfordshire area — ensuring every ward has the pathology supplies they need, exactly when they need them.

In this vital role, you’ll keep the hospital moving by coordinating orders, maintaining stock, and responding quickly to ward requests, helping reduce downtime and support exceptional patient care.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage and maintain pathology supplies across all wards
  • Act as the first point of contact for all supply-related queries
  • Provide hands-on support to staff in keeping essential items available and organised
  • Process client requests using online order systems
  • Track deliveries from internal drivers and external couriers
  • Expedite urgent orders, resolve supply issues, and support the warehouse team with returns and complaints
  • Maintain stockrooms and ensure optimal stock levels
  • Rotate and replenish items efficiently
  • Work closely with Services Helpdesk, Warehouse Teams and Support Officers via phone and email
  • Use internal ticketing systems to log, assign and manage tasks
  • Ensure supply management systems are updated for accurate billing
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports for stakeholders
  • Escalate important issues and collaborate with managers to improve service delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a healthcare setting and familiarity with healthcare supplies or stock control
  • Ability to commute to Watford, St Albans and Hemel Hempstead
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator in both written and spoken English
  • Able to prioritise, multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • A team player who can also work independently
  • Professional, friendly, punctual and customer‑focused
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and basic keyboard skills
  • Committed to confidentiality and quality standards

This is your chance to be part of a service that directly supports clinical teams and improves patient experience. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy problem-solving, and want a role with real purpose, this temporary job is for you.
