This is an exciting opportunity to become the first point of contact for residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing throughout the night.

About the Role

As a Concierge, you will play a key role in safeguarding residents and maintaining the smooth running of the building overnight. From monitoring building security to supporting residents with excellent customer service, you’ll be a calm, confident presence who keeps everything operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Resident Support & Safeguarding

  • Provide an exceptional level of customer service—approachable, vigilant, and responsive at all times.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all resident enquiries during night hours.
  • Identify safeguarding concerns and report them in line with internal policies.
  • Be aware of residents with higher-risk needs and ensure appropriate support measures are in place.

Security & Health & Safety

  • Control access to the building and monitor CCTV systems.
  • Conduct regular internal/external patrols and Health & Safety checks.
  • Record all findings through established procedures.
  • Take appropriate action in emergencies, including fire procedures and contacting emergency services.

Administration & Handover

  • Complete duty logs, checklists, handovers, and reports accurately.
  • Log and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensure thorough handovers before and after every shift.

Teamwork & Professionalism

  • Work collaboratively with the management and wider team.
  • Attend training, supervision, and staff meetings as required.
  • Support the overall upkeep and smooth running of the building.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proactive, confident, and able to work independently.
  • Experience in a security, concierge, or residential services role (desirable but not essential).
  • Calm under pressure, with good judgement and an eye for detail.
  • Comfortable with night shifts and working within a safeguarding-led environment.

Salary & Benefits

  • £33,280 annual salary
  • 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
  • 12-hour night shifts (6:30pm–6:30am)
  • Overtime:
    • Hours above contracted: time and a quarter
    • Bank holidays (outside normal pattern): time and a half
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Working within a friendly, supportive team environment
