Medical Secretary - Exciting Opportunity to Join a Leading Pathology Provider!

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to provide high-quality clerical support to the UK’s leading Pathology provider, located in the heart of central London. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a chance to be part of a dynamic team at the forefront of healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional secretarial and administrative support to the clinical team, ensuring 1st class service to both patients and the clinical staff.
• Audio-typing of clinical and non-clinical materials, including sensitive information, while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Generate and manage reports for Cellular Pathology cases, accurately transferring clinical and specimen details into the system.
• Coordinate patient appointments, liaising with patients, consultants, and the hospital team.
• Handle new patient referrals and arrange relevant appointments such as day case chemo, radiotherapy, surgery, and more.
• Register new patients, maintain patient records, and ensure accurate file management, including preparation for outpatient clinics.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• At least 3-5 years of previous experience as a medical secretary or PA in a similar environment.
• A typing speed of at least 60 WPM.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with medical terminology (AMSPAR qualification or equivalent is desirable, but not essential).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage a heavy workload.
• A professional and mature attitude, especially when handling confidential information.

A DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
